New  EuroMllions Scam Take the Nation

A new EuroMillions Lottery scam has been reported. Different people from nationwide have received letters that bear the news of them winning a prize in the EuroMillions Lottery International promotion programme.

The letter brings the congratulatory news of the person winning a jackpot and that he/she was randomly selected by a computer generated ballot system over 90,000,000, individual players from all over the world. They are using the event of EuroMillions creating 50 new millionaires to spread this scam.

People are being warned not to respond to such letters. Unlike other lottery scams this one doesn’t request any upfront payment but instead they ask for credentials details such as bank details, to be sent by fax to a number given on the letter.

Citizens are requested to report this fraud by contacting Action Fraud at www.actionfraud.police.uk or you can call 0300 123 2040. Every individual is requested to stay alert and be on their guard.
